I’m a hopelessly bougie boardgamer.

(Yes, that is a wine rack among my custom built-in shelves in the game room…)

I’m not a snob. A good game is a good game, and decadent pieces can’t fix bad mechanics. But I’m drawn to special editions and fancy Kickstarters. Games with beautiful art and components with weight and heft. I will spend hours searching for just the right pieces to complete my ideal game experience.

Board games are a shared, real-life experience. Touch, look, sound—board games should engage us in multiple ways. I want that experience to be as rich as possible, to make our time together deeper and a little more vibrant.

I like to make boardgaming as appealing an experience as possible.    

I love to upgrade components, replace pieces, and upgrade my games where possible. I want to share what I have found, what I have made, and what I recommend with others—and hear your great ideas, too.
